Associate Attorney, Litigation Section

Cottrell Noah McGowan is a lifelong competitor, both on the field and in the courtroom. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Noah was a standout member of the Ohio State Buckeyes baseball team before continuing his athletic career in independent league baseball. After hanging up his cleats, he transitioned his passion for the game into coaching, mentoring young athletes across the Houston area, and instilling in them the same values that defined his own athletic journey: hard work, discipline, and accountability.

Driven by that same competitive spirit, Noah pursued a legal career and earned his Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in May 2025. Shortly thereafter, he passed the July Bar Exam and became a licensed attorney. Today, he brings his dedication, strategic mindset, and leadership to his legal practice, where he represents clients in a wide range of civil matters, including personal injury, business law, real estate, and NIL/sports and entertainment.

Whether advocating for injured clients, protecting business interests, or navigating the evolving world of sports law, Noah approaches every case with the same determination and focus that fueled his success as an athlete. His unique background allows him to connect with clients on a personal level and fight relentlessly to help them achieve their goals.

Outside the Courtroom

When Noah isn’t practicing law, he enjoys making the most of life beyond the office. A passionate traveler, he loves exploring new places around the world and experiencing different cultures.

You can often find him at concerts and major sporting events, embracing the same energy and excitement that once defined his playing days.

A lifelong athlete at heart, Noah still finds ways to compete and stay active. He enjoys kickboxing, hitting the gym for regular workouts, and playing golf as both a competitive outlet and a way to unwind. He continues to coach baseball in the Houston area, mentoring the next generation of players and staying connected to the game that shaped him. Whether on the road, at a ballpark, or in the gym, Noah brings the same enthusiasm, discipline, and competitive spirit to his personal life that he brings to his legal practice.
